Ten years after the defeat of the titans, Camp Half Blood has prospered. Many of the monsters became discouraged, and there were fewer and fewer attacks on the children of the gods. But that's not always a good thing; the camp security has slackened, and no one has noticed the magic boundary weakening.
Until two months ago. An attempt to breach the border was made, and though the campers beat it back easily, unrest spread through the camp. Two days later, the Aphrodite cabin was ransacked -- floorboards were torn apart, clothes strewn everywhere, but it seems to the campers as though nothing was missing. The camp staff, however, know better, and for the first time in ten years they're scared. Who did it? How did they get in? And most importantly... what did they take?
And then the new prophecy arrived.
