Any thoughts on Horrorcore? I used to like it alot, now I still think alot of it is good, but I only listen to it rarely.

The only horrorcore rap I ever listen to anymore is ICP. Yeah a lot of people think they suck but they are actually pretty creative. Especially with Halls Of Illusion and Tilt-a-Whirl. The music videos don't give much justice with the edited lyrics though unfortunately.

I wouldn't classify them as Horrorcore, but ICP are okay, not my thing though. I wasn't going to either until I read the wiki. Down under lyrics and themes, it said: "Insane Clown Posse's performance style is often described as horrorcore hip hop, which "utilize shocking (and blatantly over the top) narratives to give an over-exaggerated, almost cartoon-like version of urban deprivation in Detroit", according to author Sara Cohen."
I prefer their second half of the first set of Jokers cards personally. The earlier stuff wasn't the best. |

I think this type of music is so overrated and there is a reason why this genre ain't so popular. It has weird sounds and the melody seems so wack and it seems to be out of place. That is my happen.

DJ, I am speaking from my own point of view. I don't find this type of rap music anything. It is like Rock Music, it so AVERAGE. It can be good but never be great. You can like this genre but I find it somewhat boring. |

Confusing statement. What I mean is that these rappers who do this genre are bizarre and they really tend to make some rather obscure things that are not worth hearing that much. That is what I mean. |
