I think Michael Jackson made more good music than what Prince did. Prince has some amazing songs ("When Doves Cry"), but then he has some other stuff that's just so-so (I think so anyway), whereas most of Michael's music is solid.

Agreed with Destroyer on this one. Purple Rain is undoubtely one of the finest songs ever written but Prince has churned out some utter crap in his time whereas Michael Jackson had generally been much more consistent in his lifetime.
