Paula was the worst. Unfortanately all the female judges have been really bias toward the supposedly better looking males.
No Female has won in years and they probably won't still for years cause everyone who votes is 12-15 year old girls who vote for the best looking guy. Happens every year.
They continue to do bullcrap like country week, when not everyone sings country so it makes no sense, and Mariah carey week, where guys have to sing mariah carey songs, the f**k? It's such a dumb, bias contest.
And nobody from American Idol has really been that successful. Most of the winners don't do crap and only a handful of the losers have done anything of note either.

I agree it is a bias contest, females will vote for the males that are hot, and the males vote for the hot females. The women have always been to sensitive, Jennifer Lopez is a great example of that, having an emotional breakdown because she had to let someone go. And honestly the only two names from American Idol that come to mind and I see daily are Kelly Clarkson and Chris Daughtry (and he didn't even win), honestly I can't even tell you who has won because I never hear about them. |

I agree with you on the aspect of gender bias that females don't win. But come on, Country music is not a bad genre. It is a joke but rock music is even more of a joke. Believe me. Not many people do rock music for a reason. It is bad. Rock music gets more attention than it actually should get. Mariah Carey is a great singer. How can no one see that? Too much Lady Gaga. I'm not saying country is bad or good. I'm saying having a week where everyone has to sing a song from a specific genre is stupid, cause some wouldn't ever sing a country song otherwise. Same with Mariah Carey, most male singers aren't going to sing a Mariah Carey song unless its Mariah Carey week. I was using them as examples.
Though I do find Mariah annoying it's cause my brother and mom listen to her songs all the time, and unlike me they don't use headphones.

I agree. The singers ought to choose the song they want. That is problem with all these music shows, they force participants to do songs they want not what the participant himself or herself actually wants to sing. |
