Steve Smith was born on this day in 1954 He played (and I think he still does play) drums for Journey, and was the drummer for the 1982 US No.2 single 'Open Arms').
Well happy birthday to him! Amazing drummer.

 John Francis Anthony Pastorius III December 1, 1951 ~ September 21, 1987 Jaco Pastorius was arguably the greatest Bass player who has ever lived as voted by the readers in Bass Guitar Magazine in 2006. He was a member of Weather Report and worked with various acts including Joni Mitchell et al. Unfortunately, he was severely injured in a bar fight with a bouncer at the Midnight Bottle Club in Wilton Manors, Florida and later died in a hospital. |
